Just b/c everything else I posted today seems so melancholy, here’s a little DLR, it’s good for the soul:

I’ve sort of been avoiding dissecting this one for a while.  Mostly because it has a certain degree of “real world” attachment to it.  However, I’m fairly certain that the person who inspired the image isn’t reading the site, so I’ll roll the dice and dissect “Love Junkie”.
The actual sketch was a bit larger than my scanner, so this is camera-phone version. It was also a pretty messy sketch so I played with the contrast a bit to clean up the primary lines.  So you’ll have to forgive the image quality.

Occasionally, my musical tastes actually make it out of the 80’s (gasp!!).  This one has been running around my head recently.  It’s actually my Brother’s favorite song by the band.  I prefer some of the stuff of of Ten, but I’ve always been a fan of this one…

I also love how the 4 ft. tall kid just happens to walk by carrying around an enormous piece of cardboard. Classic!

I was finally cleared to register and signed up for my first two grad school courses this morning.  One week and counting and a new phase begins.  If my calculations are correct, this time next year I’ll be doing my best reenactment of Dead Poets Society and hopefully flipping children*.

Wow.  That’s about all I’ve got to say about it all.  Wow.  Suddenly Phase 2 is no longer on the horizon, it’s bloody here!

Oh, I guess there’s something else I can say:  BRING IT! 

*cheerleading coach, remember??
